I did these jobs before I started teaching them.
TV production, brand work, a game studio, eight years leading a marketing team. Each one taught me something I still use in training today. The work keeps changing, so I keep learning.
The run takes about four minutes. Nothing in it can be failed, and every fact in it is also written out in plain text below.

Each job hands you an ability. The next stretch needs it.
The ground is a timeline — it runs left to right from 2007 to now. Seven stations, seven abilities, and after each one a problem that only the ability you just picked up will clear. The last station adds nothing new — it is a single client job, and every step of it needs a skill an earlier station handed you.
The run moves on its own. You only act when something blocks it.
Click, tap, or press space. Arrow keys and the on-screen pad when it appears.
Cards wait for you. Nothing advances until you tell it to.
There is no timer and no way to lose. A wrong answer just asks again.
Every station, written out.
The run is never the only way to read this. Seven jobs, in order, with what each one actually involved.

Amazing ABR / Shine Visual Lab

Kasagi Labo
Six months as VP of Marketing, pulled in several directions, with no single success story to point at. What did work: finding Anime Society Discords and campus clubs and organising students who already cared.
Training & Development
Full-time in AI fluency and communication. Nothing new gets added here. One client job — find the real problem, order the stages, match each problem to its fix, build the programme — and every step of it is a skill from an earlier station. Dual Fluency.
Five practices, one through-line.
Different industries, the same two problems underneath: getting a message to land, and getting a group of people to move together. Each one ends with what it means when I am training.
Brand & strategy
Sitting with business owners, working out what they actually meant, and building a brand that held together afterwards.
- Rebranding interviews — owner-led, then structured
- Brand persona, tone of voice, values
- Copywriting across print, packaging and campaign
- Golden Pin Design Award, 2015
In trainingThese were family businesses and owner-led firms. I sat with the owner. I know how those companies make decisions.
Marketing leadership

- User acquisition, live-ops marketing, community
- Built the team — junior staff into autonomous senior roles
- Studios in Japan, Korea, India, Indonesia and Germany
In trainingEight years in a listed company, working with studios in Japan, Korea, India, Indonesia and Germany, and building junior staff into people who ran things without me. Big companies, mixed cultures, middle managers — I have been on both sides of each.
Games & production
Co-founded a four-person studio, designed and shipped a social game with a skill system ahead of its time, and closed it after two and a half years.
- Game design — systems, progression, economy
- Broadcast production — scripts for Arcade, a game review programme
- Camera and Final Cut Pro, managing VJs on shoots
- The studio was a commercial failure. It taught the most.
In trainingI co-founded a studio and closed it. Founders and teams who have been through a failure do not need me to imagine what that is like.
Consulting
Studios brought me in to look at their game, their launch or their team, and say what needed to change.
- Game and launch reviews for independent studios
- Marketing and community advice
- Short engagements, clear recommendations
- The consulting-only clients are below

In trainingA government department, a brewery, a hospital, a school, an online store. If your industry is not on this list, it is close to one that is.
The seven stations, in order.
All of this is what the training is made of.
If there is something your team is stuck on, tell me. The programmes are there too, if you would rather start with those.
